Actually, Mental health challenges have been on an alarming rise over past decades, but didn't get the attention they deserved. Also, there has been a taboo around this subject. Mental health is generally seen in the context of stress, anxiety & depression. But realistically all our thoughts, desires, actions, reactions ultimately contribute to our daily mental health (emotional wellness). It can be safely said that our mental health is most truthful reflection of quality of our life. Having been an entrepreneur, leadership coach and recruitment leader from the last 10+ years, one major learning I have from close interactions with 1000+ professionals across age & roles, friends, families and from my own journey is - almost all of us struggle in managing our daily mental health. One of the biggest reasons is lack of focus on 'proactive learning' of key holistic personal development skills like - Handling Negativity, Positive Thinking, Hope, Optimism, Gratitude, Compassion, Empathy, Relationship, etc. They all meaningfully contribute to Mental Health.
